After 23 beautiful years, our gallery is closing its doors.
Thank you to our wonderful Florence community for your support through the years, and to the many amazing local artists whose work we have enjoyed for over 2 decades.
Our founder’s dream was to create a space that celebrated the artistry found across the Oregon coast, and it was each of you who made it a reality.
You can continue to purchase works by Jan Jagoe through our website or via email at therivergallery@msn.com

About The River Gallery
This special gallery was located in Historic Old Town Florence, Oregon, from 2003-2025 overlooking the beautiful Siuslaw River on the breathtaking Oregon coast. Known for its thriving art scene, our town continues to be home to many well-known PNW artists, many of whom showcase their work in our gallery.
The gallery was founded by long-time Florence residents, Jan and Brian Jagoe. Jan, an accomplished artist herself, envisioned a space for a wide array of local artists to display and celebrate their work. Her beautiful memory lives on in her artwork and in her loving family members who continue to live in the area today.
In addition to the gallery, Jan started a scholarship program named “BE The Whale” to raise awareness of the endangered species around us and award young artists as they pursue further education.

The River Gallery celebrated an exquisite collection by Pacific Northwest artists including photography, mixed media drawings, a wide variety of pit-fired pottery, ceramics, and blown glass including unique vases, tableware, and wine-toppers, oil and watercolor paintings, jewelry, stained-glass artwork, and hand-carved wooden pieces such as cutting boards, ornaments, walking sticks, and a local staple, lighthouses.
A focal point of our gallery from the beginning was a hand-selected collection of iconic Oregon blown-glass floats.
